Experience 70 years of Porsche

AMAG Schinznach-Bad’s Porsche Service Center celebrated Porsche’s 70th anniversary in a unique way; with the world’s only Porsche gathering where a sports car from every year since the brand’s founding could be displayed. The presentation of the 70 models was made possible thanks to AMAG’s friendly contacts with its Porsche customers. This unique moment was to be documented for all Porsche fans.

A book full of history

Hoping for good weather at the Porsche meeting and with the commitment of two “very fast” photographers, Heads planned to photograph all 70 cars at the event and record them in an anniversary book. The weather cooperated, and so the book shows all the models at the meeting in Schinznach-Bad, supplemented by technical profiles and interviews with drivers who talk about their own personal fascination with Porsche. The book was supplemented with texts by AMAG’s head of communications, Dino Graf, which offer an insight into Porsche history in Switzerland and the brand’s model history. Advertising subjects from the Porsche archive round off the look at 70 years of sports car history. Our Design Director Marco Simonetti had the wonderful task of creating a book from the history of these automotive design classics that will look particularly good on the sports car fan’s club table.

Jury ABC Award: “Grandiose!”

The 280-page book captures the magic of this extraordinary anniversary event and has met with lively interest among the fan community. AMAG uses the book to communicate the shared enthusiasm of AMAG and its customers for the iconic sports cars from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

The book also attracts a high level of international attention. It is honored as “Best of Best” at the ABC Award 2021. The jury’s statement: “Few automobile brands succeed in evoking such a high level of enthusiasm and passion among vehicle owners and fans as Porsche has been able to do for seventy years now. Such a phenomenon is only possible because Porsche has a tradition of excellent customer and target group communication, which repeatedly gives new emotional impetus to the myth of the brand. This is impressively demonstrated by the anniversary publication ‘70 Years, 70 Icons’. The way in which the lavish, high-level book highlights the individuality of each Porsche icon, presents them appropriately, and creates emotionality and closeness by linking them to the pictures of the vehicle owners is magnificent.”
