Chronicling the future of mobility

In 2020, AMAG will celebrate its 75th anniversary. In addition to the anniversary logo, Heads developed a company chronicle that not only tells a fascinating pioneering and corporate history, but also provides space for mobility specialists from the ETH to take a look at the climate-friendly mobility of tomorrow.

It took courage and foresight to enter the automotive business in 1945. AMAG’s founder, Walter Haefner, possessed this pioneering spirit, which has remained with the company over the decades. Anyone looking back over the last 75 years will recognise the pioneering decisions made throughout AMAG’s history. These include the company’s very early entry into the field of electronic data processing, the setting of the logistics course, a forward-looking real estate strategy, the entry into the automobile financing business, the development of an extensive workshop network and successful investments in other business areas. You can read all about it in the AMAG Chronicle, which was published on the occasion of the anniversary.

Since a successful past is no guarantee of a successful future, AMAG is interested in forward-looking analyses. The chronicle therefore concludes with contributions from mobility experts at ETH Zurich: Prof. Dr. Kay Axhausen, Prof. Dr. Christofer Onder and Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Boulouchos give their views on the climate-friendly mobility of the future. The chronicle is available in bookshops.
