Internal communication about the name change: Together into the future with Linde Gas Switzerland
PanGas AG has become Linde Gas Switzerland. There were good reasons and a long shared founding history behind the change to this internationally recognised brand name. However, the change also represents a significant transition for employees and customers. Heads supported the communications team and CEO Roger Britschgi in this change process. The communication strategy developed ensured that employees felt secure during the transition and highlighted the opportunities presented by the name change.
A powerful symbol and an unforgettable milestone
To visually emphasise the connection between PanGas and Linde, Heads developed a key visual that used the shared “N” in the name as a symbol of unity. The tagline “New Name. Shared Future.” highlighted the positive development and rich history of the company.
This milestone was celebrated with all employees in a production hall. To introduce the CEO’s speech, Heads created an AI-generated film in which the company’s two founders, Carl von Linde and Arnold Gmür, expressed their support for the name change and gave the go-ahead for the new path. During the event, employees could take part in a quiz about the company’s shared history for the chance to win great prizes and submit their wishes for the future on postcards or online. The employees’ wishes were published on the intranet and internal posters were used to support further communication.
